"JESUS OVERCAME THE WORLD, HOW?"
JESUS OVERCAME THE WORLD, HOW?

John
16: 32-33 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, tht ye shall
be scattered, everyman to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I
am not alone, because the Father is with me. These things I have spoken
unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.
When we remember that Jesus
came into the world so that we might have an eternal life in Heaven, we
can have the Lord’s special peace. But how did Jesus overcome the
world and what does that mean for us today? About 2,000 years ago
God sent down His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, to become the Messiah
of the world. What an amazing God we have that He loved us that much.
He sent down His very own Son to save us who deserve only the grave for
our sins. None of us deserve to have anyone die for them in their
place, and our sins are as filthy rags before the Lord. Yet Jesus
loved us that much to die for us so that we may, through that sacrificial
death we can have eternal life through Him.
John
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.
Our Savior came down from
Heaven and allowed Himself to be taken, beaten and hung on a cross for
our sins. He was innocent of any sin Himself yet He would willingly
die for all of us who have sins so that we, ( the ones that He so dearly
loves) can become the children of God, born-again believers.
Afterwards when His
body was cold and lifeless Jesus was laid in a dark cold tomb. How
sad people were to be witness of that awful death upon the cross.
The pain that He endured for us. Yet He would gladly do whatever
He had to do to take away the sins of the world so that those of us who
ask Him into their heart to be their Savior will be saved. The third
day after His death, Jesus arose from the grave alive and will live forever
more with His Father God in Heaven. Someday He is coming back for
His bride, (all of the Christian Believers.)
Jesus’ sacrificial death
on the cross for our sins paved the way for us to have a direct relationship
with the Father God through the saving blood of Christ our Messiah.
Never again will there have to be paid a price for our sins. Jesus
paid them all! The only way that we could have that special
relationship was through Jesus and only Jesus Christ could fulfill all
of the prophecies that foretold of His coming.
Jesus suffered all of the same kinds
of problems and trials that we have. Oh they were in a different
type of package but the sins and temptations of the world were laid out
before Him just that same as they are for you and me. Christ cried,
mourned, laughed and had all of the same emotions that we have yet He was
able through the great love of God to give Himself on the cross so that
we can have eternal life through that wonderful sacrifice.
So in spite of all of the terrible
trials that we face on a daily basis in our lives, Jesus is with
us and sees what is happening. We are so blessed that we are not
alone, our Savior Jesus is with us. How great His love for us is
and how highly He holds us in the palm of His hand when we would fall.
No one could ever love or care for us as much as He does. Surely
we are blessed!
The world hates us when we
continually strive to do good as ‘believers,’ but then they hated Jesus
"first." We should consider it an honor when we too are persecuted
for righteousness sake. When persecutions come and they will
come, Jesus is there to help pick up the pieces of our lives. We
can take courage and comfort in that wonderful fact. Also when we
go through persecutions if we are wise we will rejoice in the wonderful
knowledge that the Lord is making us better and stronger all of the time.
Try to see God's good in all circumstances and your life will be much happier
as you realize that you are indeed learning lessons from trials that will
make us a better person and believer in the long run. Even though
we would rather not go through bad things, God could be allowing them to
happen to us for our own good.
On the third day He arose
from the death and grave to become alive again. Thus proving for
all time that He was Lord over death. We can have victory in our
lives knowing that we too can arise again. Everlasting life with
the Father through Jesus Christ will be our reward. What a blessed
event for the world to be given a chance to accept Jesus into their lives.
Salvation came through the kindest, most wonderful person of all time,
the Son of God Jesus Christ our Messiah! How wonderful that one day
we His believers, will all have a chance to thank Him in person when we
get to our glorious reward of Heaven. Then our joy will be complete!
Jesus overcame the world so that we too can be over comers and join Him
in Heaven!
