John 3:16 For God
so love the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
INTRODUCTION: What will
you do with your great and wonderful gift? Do you even realize what
the greatest gift is? God's gift to the whole world, is His Son Jesus Christ!
This is special and great gift for us to have given. We all have
presents and gifts to open up at Holiday times, but how many people forget
about the greatest gift they could ever have? It's there for
us to reach out and accept. Christmas and holiday times are happy
and festive time to enjoy, but how many people don't even to take the time
to consider it? All we have comes from the Lord! He's our great provider
and we should have placed Him on the throne of our lives.
Jesus Christ suffered horribly for us.
He brought Salvation to the world through His redeeming death and resurrection.
All of our poverty, sicknesses and diseases were carried with Him to the
cross. By His stripes and pain, we are healed! Do you understand
how serious, and powerful that message is for your life? We, who were born
with the carnal sin of Adam and Eve have had the wages of your sins paid
for. Jesus died for us, why? Because He loved us enough to give His
life for us. There is no greater love than that. That a person
would take the blame and dishonor that rightfully belongs to us, and take
it upon themselves. Yet Jesus did! That is real love!
But you say, "Sister Diana, I'm a good
person and I know about Jesus. My Special friend, being a good person and
just knowing about Jesus won't get you to Heaven. It's having a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ in your heart. It's accepting his
gift of Salvation. That's what will bring you into His glory.
It's your spiritual walk of faith. Your heart full of love for Jesus
in a total committed faith.
LET'S PRAY: For Godly wisdom
and spiritual guidance. Take the time to begin to praise the Lord
as we search and seek out His Word for Biblical revelations and Holy Spirit
anointing.

YOU DO WITH IT? WHAT ARE GIFTS AND WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR?

C. Gifts can be given for honorable
or not so honorable reasons.
1.
Selfish self satisfying motives, are not honorable.
2.
Right reasons and right attitudes are honorable.
a. When given with unselfish attitudes they bring blessings.
b. When given with the other persons welfare in mind helps bring
about real
healing.
II. GOD HAS A GIFT FOR YOU, WHAT WILL YOU
DO WITH IT? WHO GAVE GIFTS IN THE BIBLE?
A. Wise men from the east came.
Matthew
2:11 And when they were come into the
house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and
worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented
unto
him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
1.
They came to worship and recognize Jesus as the Messiah, when most people
didn't.
2.
They gave the child Jesus gifts to worship Him.
a. Gold, richness befitting a king.
b. Frankincense and Myrrh.
1. Extracted from the flowers, seeds, stems, leaves, and the
bark of gnarled
trees.
a. Mixed with olive oil. (Specially crushed and pressed down)
b. Frankincense, has a sweet aroma which instills the mood for prayer
and intercession. (It represents the fragrant Heavenly life that
Jesus
was bringing to the world in Salvation.)
c. Myrrh, a symbolic suffering, bitterness and special special
fragrance
to permeate the senses.
2. They were known for their healing and Sacred properties.
3. A person was anointed with this oil to designate them as king.
Upon His
death at the cross it was written, "King of the Jews"
3.
They traveled thousands of miles and where filled with joy having found
Him.
a. Un-wise men today expect the Lord to prove Himself by doing a
miracle so
they will believe.
b. Wise men seek Him today not for what He can give, but for what
He is.
B. God gave His Son Jesus Christ to
the world as His gift of Salvation.
1.
Jesus Christ, brought the world physical healing through His physical death
upon the cross.
2.
Jesus Christ, brought the world emotional healing by His emotional tears
of
concern and care.
3.
Jesus Christ, brought His love and gave His life, so that we may have eternal
life with Him in Heaven.
III. GOD HAS A GIFT FOR YOU, WHAT
WILL YOU DO WITH IT? IS THERE A DECISION? John 3:5 Jesus
answered, Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water
and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.
A. Is there a decision? Can
a person really hide from the issue?
1.
The Lord created us in His own image.
2.
The Lord sustains us and is our "only" Savior.
3.
The Lord will eventually judge us of our sins.
B. Is there a decision? What are the
facts that must also be considered?
1.
Satan the devil is real and he really hates you.
2.
All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
3.
All of us must make a decision whether or not we will give up our self
for Jesus.
4.
Being luke warm won't get us anywhere.
5.
We are all going to die and face judgment.
C. A decision? Accepting Salvation
is a personal question for each one of us.
1.
First we must pay attention to the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.
2.
Second we must truly be sorry for our sins and sincerely repent of them.
3.
Third we must ask Jesus to come into our heart and be our Lord and Savior.
4.
Fourth we must experience the new birth and become born again Christians.
D. Is there a decision? What are the
alternatives?
1.
For or against? Matt. 12:30 Jesus said he that
is not with me is against me.
2.
Love or hate Him? Matt. 6:24-25 No man can
serve two masters: for either he
will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one,
and despise
the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
3.
Confess Jesus or deny Him. Matt. 10:32 Whosoever
therefore shall confess me
before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
But
whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father
which is in heaven.
IV. GOD HAS A GIFT FOR YOU, WHAT WILL
YOU DO WITH IT? WHAT WILL YOU DO?
A. About accepting Salvation? I
John 5: 11-12 And this is the record that God hath
given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath
the Son hath life;
and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
B. Will your name be written in the
book of life? Rev. 20:15 And whosoever was
not
found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Don't let your life go by without accepting
this wonderful gift that is offered to you. Your very own personal Savior
Jesus Christ. Open your special Gift from God and let Jesus Christ
be Lord of your life. He is the most important gift that you will ever
have the privilege of owning.
GOD HAS A GIFT FOR YOU, WHAT
WILL YOU DO WITH IT? PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS, WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR GIFT
NOW, DECIDES WHAT HE WILL DO WITH YOU LATER WHEN YOU DIE!
LET'S PRAY: Thanking
the Lord for His Godly wisdom and spiritual guidance. Also thanking
Him for His Word, revealing Biblical truths by the anointing presence of
the Holy Spirit. Remember to glorify the Father by saying all this
in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus desires to give you His Gift of
Salvation and if you have finally made the decision to accept it, say the
Salvation prayer now. Your never too old and it is never too late
to accept the free Gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ.
