 KJV Bible For All Scripture

A special area of needed healing is that of hurting, inner emotions stemming from past memories.  Scripture calls bruised past emotions as well as physical and moral weaknesses, "infirmities."
Luke 7:21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

People have to desire inner spiritual healing. First of all a person needs to ask themselves something, do they desire inner healing for their raw emotions?  You see if they aren't willing to seek inner healing, all the praying in the world won't get the job done.  They have to want it badly enough to do anything to get it.  This kind of healing is a personal choice.  Believe it or not, there are a number of people who have learned to enjoy living with  emotional pain.  It's become part of them like an arm or a leg.  They have had it so long that they simple can't imagine life without inner pain.  Some people just enjoy the attention they get by telling others of their painful inner past, but they really aren't ready to receive healing or give up the painful memories.  Sounds self defeating doesn't it?  When we talk about healing hurting emotions, a person has to want to receive healing.
I know you were the victim and that this painful inner memory was caused by someone else to you."  Yes most likely that is true but if we look deeply enough, we might find that you now have unforgiveness hidden in your heart.   People may have hurt you in the past but are you ready to be healed and freed of that ever present emotional pain? Without realizing it, you buried the painful inner memory deep down, hidden even from yourself.  Only by dealing with these painful inner memories and the resulting emotions can you be completely set free.
Why is this type of pain desirable?  We fall victims to the devil's lies and tricks everyday.  Satan tells us little lies that make us become afraid to let go of what we have come to feel as normal.  You have heard the expression, Let go, Let God!  Satan doesn't want us to let go of the past memories of pain and disappointments.  By holding onto these hurts and not letting go of the past traumas, we have the sin of unforgiveness in our hearts.  If you want to receive healing, you have to let go, but......how do you do that?  How do you really let go of a memory that gets you upset every time you think about it?  Your anger comes to the surface and you get mad all over again as if it happened yesterday?
For you, inside your inner thoughts and emotions, it did happen yesterday! You see the way you are feeling when the memory comes back to the surface of your conscience, it did just happen.  Now the problem compounds itself because you can't quite remember all the details.  You remember most of what happened but not all of it.  There are missing pieces.  If it happened as a child, the emotions you are now feeling when the memory comes is that of a child.  This is why it is so very important to go back and take a good look at it again with the wisdom and maturity of an adult.  Christian counseling with someone of the clergy ( a Pastor, Evangelist ect.) can help you by talking and praying with you.  They can help you to understand your emotions and feelings of the event with spiritual insight from God's Word, the Bible.  Seek out members of the body as well to help you overcome these painful memories.
Do you know what the difference between a worldly psychiatrist and a born again Christian counselor is?  The Christian Counselor uses Godly wisdom and truths from the Bible.  They not only help a person deal with their emotional problems now, but teaches them how to handle problems in the future.  God's word is healing if you take the time to not only learn it, but apply it to your life.  If we can walk in physical healing when we have been prayed for, why not for our emotional inner healing as well? Can you receive healing for your inner emotional pain?  Yes, but that is up to you and how much you are willing to work at it.  Jesus is knocking at the door, but you have to open it up to receive.
