     Satan Attacks People Through:

     Satan is the great advisory and enemy of God.  Anyone and everything that God loves, the devil hates, including you.  The devil hates everything about you and he is.... our worst nightmare!  Now Satan doesn't normally directly attack you in the physical since, although he can be responsible for the bad circumstances that come against you.  He can effect the whether and be the cause of demon possession.  No, most of the time Satan attacks you from within, your mind and emotions.  How does he do that?  Trickery, subtlety, deceptiveness and self-centered pride. 
     Have you had feelings of being worthless?  What about feelings of inferiority and low self esteem? How has your self worth been lately?  Do you find that you are confident to fulfill God's calling upon your life, or have you been feeling like a failure?  How effective have you felt about your accomplishments this past year?  What is happening in your life to make you feel this way? Sneaky, deceptive, Satan has come in and stole bit by bit pieces of your self worth leaving a person who may not be functioning at full capacity.  What has he been leaving  in it's place? 
    Self doubt, low self esteem and a general dissatisfaction at any efforts made.  All of a person's actions and abilities become less than satisfactory.  Inner emotional pain packs down upon buried pain.  A person devaluates themselves until nothing seems of any value anymore.  Why make the effort to do better when they know that they will only fail?  Interpersonal relationships are hindered because of low self esteem.  If a person feels that they aren't worth much than why should anyone else think they have any value.  The spiral of negatives keeps one moving spiritually backwards instead of forward. 
    Self doubt and low self esteem is a form shame and  selfishness.  It's the I, I, I,  me, me, me attitude. It's the I can't to this and I can't do that because when and if I try I fail to meet my idea of perfection.  You see if a person has their eyes fully focused upon the Lord there is little room left for low self-esteem.  When Satan can get a person to carry a low self-esteem attitude than they are not walking in full faith.  A person should watch and guard against low- self esteem because it can pull a person spiritually down quicker than anything. 
     The devil knows everything about you because he watches you, and has watched you all of your life.  Throughout your whole lifetime since you were born.  Satan also knows human nature and carnal sin.  In other words he knows all of the subtlety tricks to pull on you in order to pull you down.  1Peter 5:8 
     How easily mankind is maneuvered into discouragement and depression.  Just as soon as he can get a person to feel like they have been a failure, then Satan gets them to quit and give up. They are full of fear and feel useless.   Just look at the hugh number of people who commit suicide every year.  Depression, discouragement and feeling like failures are the number one causes.  How sad that these people have lost any really sense of direction in their lives.  Oh, they may have gone to church on a regular basis but they never truly learned how to have "walk the talk" of Christianity. 
     Psychological weapons against a person's emotions, can easily defeat a person's resolve to be victorious.  Once these weapons have been successfully used against a person, the only recourse it to turn fully upon the Lord.  Have you heard the expression, "Confession is good for the soul?" Well, when a person has a problem with low self esteem to the point they are seriously hindered in their Christianity,  they need to talk to someone and find out why they feel the way they do.  Let's look at the various ways that Satan attacks people and what we can do about it.
