Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no "vision," the people perish; but he that keepth the law, happy is he.

King Solomon the author of  the Bible book Proverbs, was speaking from a deep spiritual level in these verses.  What does this word vision mean? It means a divine, Holy Spirit, anointed revelation from the Lord God.  It means a special Godly given vision as to a drive and purpose for one's life.  In John 3:3 Jesus said to be "born-again," and to each of us born-again Christians the Lord desires us to see the vision that He would have for each of our lives.  Godly divine insight gives each of us a reason and purpose to live and spiritually grow.  We also are given the wisdom on how to achieve it as we go through the various trials of our lives.  Yet understand this that it will not happen by your power alone for the Bible says in:
Zechariah 4:6 Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

"Visions" help us to understand why we are going through what we go through with our daily lives.  They help us see beyond the now and imagine the future as what we hope it will be.  We look with spiritual eyesight which comes from deep down in our spirit.  The very spirit that joins the Father in Heaven when we die, if we are saved through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
For some people they receive a personal revelation or vision when they become born-again.  This happens when they "receive Jesus into their lives" and He becomes their personal Lord and Savior, John 3:16.  For other people it may come later in their Christian walk, but it will only come when a person is really (ready) to receive it.  Some people may receive a number of Pro.29:18 "visions" but after awhile the one that is really right will manifest itself within your heart.  The same way a person can receive several giftings or talents from the Lord but one will be the very best.
You will know, that you know, that you know, the Lord has given you a specific vision just right for you.  You can feel it almost as strongly as you can physically touch another person.  For some it can become so strong of a drive that they can almost taste it, it smells so sweet.  They begin to see with spiritual eyes what this (spiritual vision) can be.  A job, a career, a goal, a purpose for living.  It becomes strong, powerful and alive within you.  Where does this kind of faithful vision come from? Complete dedication to following Jesus and the Word of God.  Allowing the full presence of Jesus to become one and part with you.  The fullness of strong faith and spiritual witness of the Holy Spirit within your heart.  This kind of faith comes by allowing the Lord to build a powerful strong foundation within your special life.
Jesus has a vision for you who are born-again, and only by heavy faithful prayer and surrender of one's self, can you truly see or understand it.  If you don't understand what I am saying here please write to me and we can talk about having a Christian walk and what being born-again really means.  Salvation is a wonderful thing to have, and you can have it by receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior.
If you do understand it but haven't received this spiritual type of vision for your life, then it begins by getting down on your knees in heavy prayer.  Daily praying for the Lord to reveal your special (vision) that is just right for you.  Seek the face of the Lord in everything that you do. Read and study the Word of God as if you are starving.  Listen only to Christian music and surround yourself with as much as possible the things of God.  Fill your heart and mind so much with things of God that you begin to strongly feel His very presence in you life.  The Lord truly loves you and will hear your prayers. One more thing you have to do............................forgive!  Yes that right, the Lord will not hear your prayers as long as you have unforgiveness in your heart towards anyone
Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

If you already know your Pro.29:18 "vision" then these things will only strengthen your faith.  You will see it in a stronger, more powerful way.  It will become deeper ingrained within your heart to the point of a solid focus and purpose.  Allow the full anointing to flow within you as you seek the things of God.  Prayer is powerful when one is praying in a full measure of faith.  Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Allow your faith to grow into a deeper revelation of His word and (vision) for your life.  Pray and surrender your life to the Lord's leading, and you will fully see the "Revelation Vision" He has for you. Seek and ye shall find!
