"REGRESSION AND PACIFICATION"

     Regression,  Pacification and Backsliding:  This is the way that Satan has of making people move backwards in their walk with Jesus.  If people do not keep moving forward by reading their bibles, praying and constantly praising and worshipping the Lord daily, they will regress in their walk with Jesus.

     Romans 7:11 reads, "For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me."

     The cares of this world will make people start to pull back from the Lord, leaving themselves wide open for Satan’s evil depraved deceptions.  When we see this within ourselves, we should become alarmed that we are becoming easy marks for demonic attack! A man in a Synagogue had an unclean spirit in him because he was too weak in faith to fight it off. 

     Luke 4:33 reads, "And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth?  Art thou come to destroy us?  I know thee who thou are; the Holy One of God And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.  And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.  And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! For with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out."

      We simply can not let down our guard even for one minute.  "Pacification" can lead us into mental and emotional weakness.  Another story in the bible is the deceptions of Adam and Eve.  How easily Adam and Eve were deceived into sin too in the Garden of Eden when Satan the devil deceived them.  In a moment of weakness they were tempted to sin.   Satan is no different today then he was then.  He still wants to steal you away from all hope of eternal life with the Lord.  When a person quits trying to move forward, they move back. 

    Revelation 3:15-22 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 

     Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. 

   It may seem to happen slowly, but you're spiritually dying if you're not spiritually growing! There's no middle ground where the Lord is concerned.   "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. "
Its important to keep spiritually growing in solid faith. 

     Don’t let yourself regress because of being too passive either!  This is a strong message to the churches. "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."  How many people sitting in church pews aren't truly saved?  Just because a person attends every Sunday and goes through all the motions of church life, doesn't mean they are saved.  Unless a person has made a personal commitment to having Jesus as their Savior, they won't go to Heaven.  A personal relationship with Jesus is precious and of great value.  Don't take it for granted. 

     How easy it is for Satan to bring bad inner memories to a person's mind who has no solid hope in the Lord.  They can't reach out to the Lord because the relationship simply is not very strong.  The only way to have a close relationship with the Lord is if a person strives daily to seek, pray and talk with Him.   A person who has allowed themselves to become weak in their faith, just won't have strong enough spiritual weaponry to fight Satan off with.  Bad memories bring inner pain because the person is spiritually weak.   These types of people suffer without any real hope or spiritual comfort.  Do people have to suffer like this? No of course they don't, not when they have Jesus and the Word of God for guidance.
